Lelar Prime is homeworld to the Lelari. In order to avoid detection, the Lelari erected a large cloaking device that enshrouded their planet, which has been in service for centuries. In 2367, the USS Galaxy discovered the whereabouts of Lelar Prime. The successful first contact led to the Lelari opening up their planet to a limited amount of talented visitors, whom they were allowed to pick and choose. Lelar is pronounced "LEY-lahr".
