Spittal is a housing estate in the south east of Glasgow. It is bordered to the south by Castlemilk, to the west by Croftfoot, to the north by Kingspark and to the east by Burnside. Spittal was first developed during the 1930s. As a result, the eastern part of the estate contains cottage flats and terraced housing typical of that era. the scheme was extended in the 1950s and 1960s with the addition of 3 and 4 storey tenement housing.
