In January of 2011, Alexandra Quick encountered "an elderly woman with bad teeth" while riding on a Greyhound Bus through Tulsa, Oklahoma. The woman told "Alexandra all about her retired brother, their deceased parents, her younger sister in Waco, the thirty-seven years she'd spent as a clerk in the Tulsa records office, drought, real estate prices, and 'peak oil'."
