Unlike DK Attack, this minigame has some downgrades, the score is no longer included and the timer acts as the score tracker. Also, DK Barrels are replaced with crates. DK Coins and Bonus Levels don't even make any appearance in the game. Also, Diddy doesn't have Dixie pair up with him in this minigame. In this minigame, Diddy has to complete a level in the lowest amount of time possible. A circular area with stars act as checkpoints if Diddy has been injured by an enemy or has fallen down a pit. It also temporarily freezes the time on the clock, like enemies also do.
