Ghorr was the Chief Scrutator of the Council of Scrutators and a powerful mancer, who had taken renewal on more than one occasion. During his term as Chief Scrutator, the Council itself became a hollow, corrupt body. As an enemy of Xervish Flydd, Ghorr often did all he could to frustrate his attempts to win the Lyrinx War, recognising that the only thing keeping him in power was the war itself. In attempt to rid himself of Flydd and his allies once and for all, Ghorr orchestrated the attack on Fiz Gorgo.
