The Brotherhood of the Obscene Martyr was a religious organization that ran afoul of the Jedi Order. Theron Shan and his guardian, Jedi Master Ngani Zho, were pursued by this organization during one of their adventures. Shan learned the value of never staying in one place from that incident. The two of them reminisced about that experience upon their reunion on Taris.
