At the beginning of the Clone Wars, Ryloth was taken by the Separatists. During the swift invasion, which Dooku presided over personally, Trik Kesajun tried to defend himself and his parents from the droids. He was seen using a blue lightsaber skillfully, and this is what caught Dooku's attention. Eventually, Kesajun fell to a group of Super Battle Droids and was about to be killed when Dooku intervened.
