The Imperial Inner Circle was a council of government officials and military officers, who served as advisors to Emperor Ken Palpatine, the grandson and successor of the deceased Palpatine. Founded in 7 ABY, he made it to maintain the illusion that the Empire was a part representative democracy. Also, the younger Palpatine used the council to aid him in making vital decisions.
