The Steaming Sea is the name for the cold ocean which lies north-west of the continent of Avistan, beginning roughly at the northern borders of Varisia, past the Lands of the Linnorm Kings, and all the way to the frozen Crown of the World. It is bordered to the south by the more massive Arcadian Ocean, which it is technically a part of.
