Tamara "Tammy" Faye Messner ( International Falls , Minnesota , March 7 1942 - Loch Lloyd , Missouri , July 20 2007 ) was an American singer , evangelist , entrepreneur , author , talk show host and television personality. She was married to televangelist , and later convicted felon, Jim Bakker . Together they presented from 1976 to 1987, The PTL Club . [1] Messner was known much makeup to wear, including mascara and false eyelashes . With permanent makeup she had tattooed eyebrows . Tammy Faye Messner died on July 20, 2007 at age 65 from the effects of cancer .
