A tarnuur was a title awarded by the Gand to members of their kind and others who had shown a commitment to friendship. During the Cold War, Sergeant Yuun informed the new commander of Havoc Squad that he considered them to be their tarnuur. As a result, Yuun was dedicated to follow the leader of the squad with whoever they classed as friend being a friend of the Gand, with their family being protected to the same capacity as if they were Yuun's own family.
