Created by the Fire Titans to serve as guards, hunting companions, and soldiers, Ash Hounds are intelligent, fire-breathing dogs. When not guarding their master's keeps or hunting prey for them, they typically venture out into nearby settlements to bully residents for tributes to the Jottun. While they are fiercely loyal, they are even more cowardly, and will always prefer running to dying. For this reason, Ash Hounds sometimes find themselves in the service of non-Titan masters whom they are forced to obey, or opportunistically turn to should their old masters be supplanted. The average Ash Hound is 120 pounds and stands about 3 & 1/2 feet tall at the shoulders.
