A Luru stone was a type of precious gem. They were brilliant and multi-colored, and quite valuable because their main source, Coros III, was under a Prime Directive Interdict. In the late 23rd century, a number of Orion smugglers stole a haul of Luru stones from the royal treasure house of the largest kingdom on Coros III. Twelve of these gems found their way to Barak the Gem Merchant on Daros IV. He was willing to sell them for 1500 credits each. (FASA RPG module: Orion Ruse)
