Galong-Tal was an ancient member of the Jedi Order who had attained the rank of Master. Ancient accounts kept safe by the Order claimed that Galong-Tal had passed into the Force upon dying and transcended death by returning as a phantom. Along with Masters Plautopseum and Arca Jeth, Galong-Tal's story was recovered by Luke Skywalker within a holocron following the Great Jedi Purge.
