Derek Clifford Simmons is the secondary antagonist in Resident Evil 6, acting as the main antagonist of Leon's campaign, the secondary antagonist of Ada's campaign, and the tertiary antagonist of Jake's campaign. He is the National Security Adviser of President Adam Benford and leader of the group known as The Family. He is the one responsible for the nuclear destruction of Raccoon City and the bioterrorist attack on Tall Oaks which even infects the president as well. He can be encountered in Leon and Ada's campaign.
