David Scase (21st September 1919 - 27th February 2003), was born in London. He played the role of Doctor Robert Lowther on Coronation Street between 1983 and 1987. He also appeared in the Street spin-off, The Brothers McGregor. He was married to actress Rosalie Williams who also appeared on the programme in bit-part roles. His wife and their four children survive him.
