Tom Winchester was the adoptive father of Kyle Winchester. After years of infertility and failed IVF, Tom and his wife Karen Winchester adopted Kyle. On 28th July 2013, Tom and Karen died of carbon monoxide poisoning, so Kyle went to live with Karen's mother Joanie Wright after their death.
