Chikara was forged by Kaiu to combat the Shadowlands, and as such its powers reflect this. The Jade lettering that runs along the blade glows in the presence of tainted creatures, giving warning to the bearer of approaching creatures. It can detect such a creature at a distance up to 100 yards. The blade also makes the user immune to the Shadowlands Taint, as long as it is on their person. Anyone wielding Chikara against a tainted creature gains a number of free raises equal to their School Rank x 5. The jade inlaid in the blade does not decay while in the Shadowlands.
