Jake Epping is a high school English teacher, and a resident of Lisbon, Maine. In 2011, Jake learned of the existence of a temporal portal from Al Templeton, and later used the portal to travel back to 1958 in order to prevent Frank Dunning from murdering his family. Later in that year, he traveled to Dallas, Texas to begin preparations for intervening in Lee Harvey Oswald's assassination of John F. Kennedy.
