Katavi is an African spirit, said to come out at night. When a deluded fanatic, who terrorized small African villages late at night, killing those he believes to be devils with his armed henchmen, threatened Steph and Leslie Thompkins during her year of recovery after War Games, Steph takes the identity of Katavi to fight him off.
