Andrew Gering is an Admiral of the UNSC. In 2560 he was appointed the de facto leader of the UNSC and given the rank of full Admiral. He quickly set out to redesign the Navy, going so far as to scrap half the current ships and rehaul the rest. He advocated heavy defensive measures, including plasma disruption technology.
