Lalande is a fictional star system in Civilization II: Test of Time. It is the setting of one of the game's campaigns, in which players control either humans or aliens and discover the secrets of a lost civilization as they progress through the three planets of the system and attempt to escape it. Lalande's name is most likely taken from Jérôme Lalande, an 18th-century French astronomer and writer; or Lalande 21185, a star that may support its own planetary system.
