The design that would become known as the Mandalorian Dungeon Ship was first introduced over four thousand years ago, during the Mandalorian Wars. Since then, it has become something of an aged craft. The Empire adopted it to hold Jedi, during the Great Purge and Civil War, and eventually found other uses to go alongside it.
