The Outer Colonies of Earth, especially the older ones, have constructed naval vessels for purposes such as defense, exploration, exploitation, and, in more cases than popularly believed, conquest. These are small compared to the navies of the United Nations Space Command and the United Colony Command; however, the larger colonial navies are respectable powers in their star clusters and nearby environs.
