Depends on the person. If it's a drug or some type of treatment if the person patents it they can make a lot of profit off it. But some people might not be looking for a profit and feel the need to share the "cure" with everyone, not saying that the production of the "cure" or treatment to achieve the "cure" wouldn't cost money.
