The club briefly consisted of a bandy/ice hockey section, which contested the Ringhoffer Pokal in 1911, 1912, 1913, and 1914. They lost in the first round on all four occasions. They played their first game with a puck on January 19, 1913. Before then the club had only played with a ball. DFC became a member of the Austrian Ice Hockey Federation around 1912-1913. They lost the 1914 Austrian State Ice Hockey Championship to Wiener Sport Club by a score of 14-2.
