The Phantom was an experimental fighter with a cloaking device. It had a pilot pod more like the Millennium Falcon's than a normal TIEs, and it had three wing panels. Each wing panel had a laser cannon, and two more were located on chin mounts. The cloaking device was developed using stygium crystals blown out of the planet Aten II by the Empire. Astragon acquired the plans and used its own stygium crystals from one of its moons power cloaking devices. The Phantom also had a hyperdrive, allowing it to mainly operate as a sneak-attack long range patrol fighter.
