The Yojj was the former currency of the Sivad. The yojj was subject to hyperinflation during the crises caused by the collapse of Paul Truffaut's government. As a result, the yojj was demonetised in 3002, and replaced with the yojj-sterling, which is linked to the value of polydenum. Some yojj coins and banknotes remain in private hands. However, since the yojj is no longer a valid medium of exchange, these bank notes and coins have no value in and of themselves, except for collectable value.
