Phyrrus is usually very stern, serious and, at times, can be seen as having a very distanced personality. He can often seem very intimidating to weaker opponents or Matoran, although it is partly due to his notoriety. Many have noted or commented on his monstrous killing intent which is most noticeable when in the presence of some kind of figure of authority. Phyrrus has never been one to show mercy to his opponents, usually beating his opponents within an inch of their death or actually killing them. This habit was especially problematic in the Glatorian Arena, causing him to be banned for months at a time due to using excessive force. In fact, possibly the only reason why he wasn't exiled like his fellow Glatorian Malum, is because he was also the battle commander of the Vulcanus militia
