George Jessel, nicknamed "Toastmaster General of the United States", was a popular American 20th century actor, singer, comedian and frequent toastmaster. During World War II, Jessel made several appearances on the USO tour, and was a strong supporter of the Civil Rights Movement. Jessel's influence was so popular, his existence was referenced in the holosuite program Bashir 62, a 24th century rendition of 1962. That year, Vic Fontaine made a toast, with Odo and Lola Chrystal, in the words of Georgie Jessel, "To whatever makes you happy." (DS9: "His Way")
