A simit (also called koulouri in Greece) is a turkish circular bread, baked with sugar and sprinkled with sesame seeds. It is described as both crunchy and chewy, not unlike a fresh fried donut. Eaten for breakfast plain or with jellies or cheeses (much like we eat bagels).1
