A dōjutsu only manifested in those of both Hyūga and Uzumaki blood, this Kekkei Genkai was unheard of until Hyūga Kato unlocked her own Uzutsuyogan. While the Uzutsuyogan appears similar to the Byakugan, it is a separate Kekkei Genkai, which shows itself when the massive powers of the Uzumaki Clan are forced into active Byakugan. The Byakugan recedes, and the Uzutsuyogan forms. Because of this unique activation, a popular misconception is that the Uzutsuyogan is a stage of the Byakugan.
