From 1984 to 2004, Carsey-Werner's key employee who later became a partner was Caryn Snyder-Mandabach. She left in 2004 to start her own company. From the late 80s to 1997, the Carsey-Werner shows were distributed by Viacom which later became Paramount Domestic Television; but it gotten so big that it decided to go out on its own and be an independent distribution arm. Since 2006, Carsey-Werner acquired the distribution rights to the library of TV shows produced by Stephen J. Cannell Productions.
