A solutional cave in South-Central San Saba County, Texas (31 08' 57"N 98 41' 56"W ). Cucuy (pronounced koo-kooee) refers to the Spanish term for boogeyman, a mythical, invisible, folk monster invoked by parents to keep children in line. The entrance to the cave is a crevasse with an imposing 50+/- foot drop, then it transverses laterally to the North. The exact length of the cave is unknown, as poor quality of the air after several hundred feet prohibits full exploration. Because of the its location on posted, private property, few people get the opportunity to explore it or map its features.
