After Darsolenew Duskmantle was found guilty of creating and releasing the disease Isiliosis, he was executed, and shortly thereafter, the Apothecarium was disbanded by Viatrix Verranos - one of Sylvanas' agents. After some months, a new organization was founded and named The Spine. Many of the ex-apothecaries were recruited to create the backbone of the new organization.
