The Funniest Joke I Ever Heard was the title used for a pair of 1984 television specials co-produced by Dick Clark and broadcast on ABC, in which celebrities shared their favorite joke. Kermit and Miss Piggy appeared in the May 21, 1984 special. A follow-up (sans Muppets) aired on November 27, 1984. Other featured celebrites in the two specials were Victor Borge, George Burns, Cheech and Chong, Dom DeLuise, Sherman Hemsley, Kathie Lee Johnston, Cyndi Lauper, Jack Lemmon, Rich Little, Roger Miller, Pat Morita, William Shatner, Martin Sheen, Brooke Shields, and James Stewart.
