Quode Quanx-Querix was the founder of the Knights Academy of Sanctaphrax. He was one of the first Knights Academics to successfully retrieve Stormphrax on a Stormchasing mission, and also cured the first Endless Winter created by the First Scholars. Philius Embertine found a barkscroll that he had written about how to cure the first "endless winter". Quint, Raffix, Phin, Stope and Maris eventually used this method to cure the second endless winter.
