The SMS S135 was a German Destroyer built after the Great War. She docked in Cork Harbor in 1924 for a good will tour of Ireland, at exactly the same time as the US Destroyer USS O'Brien. Although the S135 was newer than the O'Brien, she was notably smaller than her US counterpart with only three guns to the O'Brien's four. Still, despite the lukewarm feelings to each other, the sailors of the S135 showed respect to the O'Brien's crew during their shore leave.
