The Multi-Frequency Targeting and Acquisition System, also known as MFTAS, was a sensor system used in helmets that provided assistance in acquiring targets in conditions of poor visibility and at long ranges. A vision augmenter, the system allowed the user to see through darkness, smoke, rain, and through other poor visibility hazards. This system was extensively used in Stormtrooper armor, as well as in multiple other armors such as the DZ 17X Nemesis, NLZ5-11 Dragon, the Juggernaut 510 Combat Power Armor, and even personal armors such as Cragus 12's bounty hunter armor.
