Richard Mapletoft appeared on Coronation Street in four roles: * Store manager Mr Simpson in August 1987 * A Mechanic at an Ullswater village garage in July 1990 * Sergeant Lucas in December 1995 * An unnamed Desk Sergeant at Weatherfield Police Station in April 1996 and March 1997. His other credits include roles in One by One, All Creatures Great and Small, Children's Ward, The Darling Buds of May, Heartbeat, Last of the Summer Wine, All Quiet on the Preston Front, Hetty Wainthropp Investigates, Ain't Misbehavin', Emmerdale and the films God's Outlaw and Some Kind of Life.
