Stratego is the game that Samantha Mulder and her brother, Fox Mulder enjoyed playing when they were younger. According to the scenes in "Little Green Men", they were playing it on the night of Samantha's abduction. Just before Samantha was taken, the Stratego board is shown shaking and some of its pieces topple over. Samantha is then abducted from the Mulder home while her brother, Fox Mulder, watches in terror.
