The Rangers are Temple Knight soldiers sent to the Rune Essence mine in an effort to capture Solus Dellagar, a dangerous mage responsible for the deaths of thousands. Under Savant's guidance, fifteen Rangers surround Solus as they attempt to bring him into custody. Solus immediately defeats the group by casting Ice Barrage, killing all of them but forcing him to expend such energy that the player can defeat him in combat. Although rangers do not have an attack option, they are technically monsters, having 700 life points, and drop bones upon death.
