The Rear Hall was a large open hall accessible via a corridor leading from the Defence Against the Dark Arts Professor's office. It was carpeted, and bookshelves covered the walls. There were also several paintings in this room. It was located next to the Gryffindor Tower and as such the Fat Lady's portrait was near here.
