Doctor Ted Lawrence arrives in the dying town of Banbury after hearing reports of Ghoul lurking its cemetery. He intends to write a book on the ghoul if his research goes well enough. He finds the ghoul crying and digging in the cemetery. Lawrence approaches it, and it moves to attack him. He finds himself possessing far superior strength than the ghoul and easily captures it. Taking it to his home to place in his laboratory where he'd studied gorillas previous, Ted begins to place the subdued ghoul in the empty gorilla cage. Doctor Lawrence had an epileptic attack while placing the ghoul in confinement. He wakens inside the cage, placed at the Banbury Ghoul's every whim and mercy.
