Hoth hogs are hog-like creatures native to the icy wilderness of Hoth. Hoth hogs are a land-scavenging species. Rarely seen and physically weak, they are among the lowest forms of life in the planet's food chain, serving as prey to animals such as the giant tauntaun. They presumably feed on the fungus and lichens that grow just below the frost layer.
