The Caspian Democratic Union's Naval Intelligence Office has gone through its share of ups and downs. Blamed by some to be the principle tool used to dismantle and weaken the Caspian Navy during the War of Papers and the Taylor Uprising, the Bureau was disbanded. The NIO has since been re-instated by Provisional Presav Thomas C. Mahon. The military man knows that a healthy and effective Intelligence office is necessary to maintain the CDU's position as a neutral entity in the ongoing Galactic Civil War.
