Dwarfism was a medical condition causing the subject to grow to a limited size, maturing at around half the typical size of the species. Such people were sometimes called "dwarfs". It was one of a number of handicaps that randomly afflicted Grey Orions, due to their genetic mutilation. (FASA RPG - The Orions module: Book of Deep Knowledge) Notable dwarfs were Alexander of Platonius (TOS episode: "Plato's Stepchildren") and Kobry (ST comic: "Aspiring to be Angels").
