Silmaris’ exact history is unclear; he simply showed up one day on Outreach looking for work. Attempts to trace his past have yielded very few results; however, it is suspected that he comes from one of the near periphery realms. That he seems to lack a family name makes tracing him even harder. Certainly his education is rough, and his actual military experience seems to be more hands-on then from any formalised training.
