Karpolan Demesand was a native of the small fortress city of Trygalle in southern Genabackis. Karpolan was one of the original founders of the Trygalle Trade Guild as well as a caravan master, sorcerer (i.e., High Mage) and merchant. He was described as a huge man with gold-capped, diamond-studded teeth, pudgy hands and a round face. He typically dressed in silks and was prone to profuse sweating.
