Memara is not very strong in the One Power. Her level of strength is described by "The Wheel of Time Companion" as 34(22) which is an intermediate level in Aes Sedai hierarchy. With this level of strength she is unable to open alone a suitable gateway to Travel. She seems to be a pleasant person, both in appearance and personality. However, she seems very strong-minded, never letting anything stand between herself and her goals. She was also willing to do anything that did not violate the Three Oaths.
